What a month on Sume Pro costs: $40 plan plus usage, three workloads
Sume Pro is $40 a month and usage is billed per call on top. Three workloads: $61.70, $200.25 and, on Startup, $917.50 for the month. The line items and shares.

A month on Sume Pro costs $40 for the plan plus whatever you run, billed per call at published USD rates. For a small creator workload that totals about $61.70; for a weekly ad shop making 40 fifteen-second clips it is about $200.25. The plan fee is a fixed line; usage is the part that moves.
This is arithmetic on Sume's published rates and the plan grid, read on 2026-10-03. The pricing FAQ says API and Format generation are billed per call on top of your plan, and that Pro starts API, CLI and MCP access.
What are the plan fees and limits?
Plans set access and concurrency, not a discount on usage. The admission docs give the processing limits and the number of jobs that can wait in the queue.
| Plan | Monthly price | Processing concurrency | Accepted jobs at once |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 | 6 |
| Pro | $40 | 4 | 24 |
| Startup | $120 | 8 | 48 |
| Scale | $400 | 20 | 120 |
What do the three workloads include?
Rates used: Avatar Video Plus $0.245 per second, standalone captions $0.20 per job, timeline render $0.10 per output minute as a ceiling, Music $0.125 per track. The clips are 10 or 15 seconds with no product image.
| Line | Starter creator (Pro) | Weekly ad shop (Pro) | Heavy volume (Startup) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Avatar clips | 8 x 10 s = $19.60 | 40 x 15 s = $147.00 | 200 x 15 s = $735.00 |
| Caption jobs | 8 = $1.60 | 40 = $8.00 | 200 = $40.00 |
| Timeline renders (ceiling) | none | 40 = $4.00 | 200 = $20.00 |
| Music tracks | 4 = $0.50 | 10 = $1.25 | 20 = $2.50 |
| Usage subtotal | $21.70 | $160.25 | $797.50 |
| Plan fee | $40 | $40 | $120 |
| Month total | $61.70 | $200.25 | $917.50 |
| Plan fee share | 65% | 20% | 13% |
What does the table tell you?
For a light user the plan fee is most of the bill, so Pro is the price of access to video generation, the API and the Agent. For a shop making dozens of clips a week the fee is a fifth of spend, and the per-second rate is what you manage. At heavy volume, the fee is background noise and the interesting question is concurrency, not price.
Moving up a plan does not make a clip cheaper. See does a bigger plan make each video cheaper: the per-second rates are the same, and what changes is how many jobs process at once and how many can queue.
When does Pro stop being enough?
Pro processes 4 jobs at a time and accepts 24 including the queue (queue capacity 20). A 40-clip batch submitted together exceeds the 24 accepted: the extra jobs hit 429 queue_full until earlier ones finish. Submit in waves, or move to Startup (8 processing, 48 accepted) if the wall-clock time matters more than $80 a month.
If you only need a faster batch, the plan is the lever. If you need cheaper clips, the levers are shorter clips, the Standard tier at $0.184 per second instead of Plus, and fewer rejected takes.
What is not in the totals?
Avatar creation is a one-time $0.95 per avatar and is not counted; the three workloads reuse existing avatars. Retakes you generate and discard are not counted either, and they are real captured jobs. Add your own retake factor. The timeline figure is a reserve ceiling, so the captured amount can be lower. Taxes and card fees are not part of the published rates, and the pages cited here do not describe them.
