The shortest Gemini Omni Flash clip Sume accepts is 3 seconds, and it costs $0.1125 at 360p, $0.375 at 720p, $0.5625 at 1080p and $1.125 at 4K. A hundred of them cost $11.25, $37.50, $56.25 and $112.50.
Three seconds is long enough for a logo sting, a reaction cut or a transition, and short enough that a hundred variants stay cheap.
Rates by resolution
Sume bills $0.0375, $0.125, $0.1875 and $0.375 a second for gemini-omni-flash-1.1, which is the provider list times 1.25. Multiply by three for the clip and by the count for a batch.
Google's own Omni price is about $0.10 a second at 720p, so a 3-second clip is $0.30 there. We did not read Google's other Omni resolutions.

Why short clips are a good test unit
Each clip tests one idea. A 3-second clip at 360p costs less than 12 cents, so you can check a prompt wording for the price of a stamp. Changing one thing at a time is easier when each test is this cheap.
Short clips may also hold together better, because there are fewer seconds for the picture to drift from the first frame. We have not measured that, so treat it as a reason to test, not a finding.
What 3 seconds cannot do
It cannot carry a spoken sentence of any length, and audio is always on for this model, so a 3-second clip will include whatever sound the model produces. Veo, by contrast, is not listed on Sume, so there is no Veo equivalent to compare at this length.
If you need a 3-second end card that holds a logo, use the end frame input so the clip lands on your artwork. Check the lockup at the final resolution, because a 360p test will not show fine text.
Budgeting a variant set
A common shape is twenty ideas, each tried at three prompt wordings. That is 60 clips, or $6.75 at 360p, $22.50 at 720p and $33.75 at 1080p. Pick the winners from the cheap pass and render only those at the delivery resolution.
Every clip is its own job, so a failed one is a single retry, not a restart of the batch.
Before a large batch
Run ten at the resolution you plan to ship. Compare the amount on the job with the table, then size the full run.
